Sunday morning I went to visit my sister and her family. That morning there was a a bycicle race in the city. My little nephew was curios to see the cyclist running very fast. I had my camera with me and this is my favorite photo of that morning.

Venice Photo Walk

Yesterday morning I went to 500px Red Bull Photography Global Photo Walk event in Venice. Once I arrived at Santa Lucia Station I met Alex Meidany, a Persian photographer who lives in Venice. Other photographers (from Vicenza, Trieste and Birmingham) joined us and then the Photo Walk started. We walked through the city visiting some unconventional places and while we were shooting Alex explained us technics and how to play with what Venice was offering us. Here are some pictures.

Her Majesty

First day of holidays and we went to Ortisei. On the way to the hotel we passed on Passo Sella where we stopped to see the landscape. The sun was shining but it was a really windy afternoon. I picked up my camera and the tripod. Three-four shoots and this was the result: ladies&gentlemen, her Majesty: Marmolada.

Yes, we want.

Friend's wedding ceremony. On a cloudy Sunday morning I've been to a wedding ceremony. The church was quite dark and cold. I was seated at the end of the church while the sun was coming in from the windows. All become like gold. This is the photo I took:

Tattoo Photography. Part 2

April 2016. Bologna (IT). If you want to shoot some portraits, it's the right moment.  We've been to Bologna Tattoo Expo, a great meeting where you can find a lot of tattoo artists from around the world. I find these meetings really interesting because of my attraction for this kind of art. I took a lot of photos that day and this is one of my favorite:

April 2016. London. We went to London for a week end. It was one of my dreams since last time I visited it. My mission was to take the same picture I took with my phone in 2010 (5 months before I touched a reflex): I bought also a brand new lens to shoot something like this. I haven't been able to do that. :( Anyway we walked a lot through the city and for a guy that loves photographs, this city offers him a lot of subject, popular and not. I took many photos: monuments, streets and people. One morning (Sunday morning, the day of London Marathon) we went to London Tower and I took this:

Cash Dancing

Saturday afternoon I've been in Padova with my girlfriend. I picked up my camera to shoot some pictures while she was shopping. We parked the car near a big building (a bank) and here there were some guys dancing. I've been totally caught by them movements so I asked to a guy if I can take some pictures of his performance. Usually I am a little scared about to ask someone I meet on the street to give me some of his time to take some photos. Anyway the guy accepted and I take this:

Landscape Photography

Landscape is one of the branch of photography that I find very hard to do (more than others). When I was on holiday and I usually wanted to catch an image of a landscape. So I usually pick up my camera and... clic... clic... clic... The result was a  flat  image of a mountain incapable to let me feel something. This August, after study of this kind of photos (drive lines etc) I think I did my best picture of category Landscape. We (with my girlfriend) were walking on a mountain pathway. The sky was grey and the rain seemed to be ready to fall down. When we reached an high point, I fund a good point to take a picture of San Nicolò Valley. This is the result. I admit I played a little with post production, but who doesn't do it? :)

Tattoo Photography

This is my first blog. I decided to start this whit a kind of photography that I like more then others: Tattoo Photography. Probably this kind of pictures may be called " Portraits " but I like to use another category for this. My girlfriend is a tattoo artist and we travelled Italy to visit some Tattoo Conventions. I used to pick up my photographic bag and shoot some pictures to the artists. While they are tattooing, they're quite estranged from what is happening around them. I will not write here EXIF datas of my shoots. I think is more important how you feel when you see a picture than how it have been taken (except for milky way ;) ). This is one of my favorite shoot.
